THE BACKGROUND

It started in the building materials industry.

I spent most of my engineering career in building products. That put me around trades, installers, jobsites, code requirements, manufacturers across multiple industries, and the constant evolution of outdoor living and home renovation.

For more than a decade, I was learning how products actually get used in the field—not just how they look on a drawing. I saw where installations go smoothly, where details create problems, how materials behave, and how good design can make a project easier to build and better to live with.

Then the career moved toward furniture.

Eventually, my engineering work turned toward furniture design and product development. That is where I found the part of the work I connected with most.

I had always been an avid novice woodworker, and over time I kept expanding both my workshop and my skillset. Furniture gave me a place to combine engineering, design, materials, fabrication, and hands-on craftsmanship in a much more personal way.

One business. Two kinds of work.

Construction is the front door of Oasis Spaces: renovations, bathrooms, built-ins, stairs, railings, structural interior work, and outdoor living. Furniture by Oasis Spaces is a focused branch for custom tables, chairs, bars, vanities, storage pieces, and original furniture designs.

The common thread is simple: understand the problem, design carefully, and build something worth living with.
